My name is Tan Shi Sian (Nick). I graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Multimedia University, Malaysia.
I have hands-on experience in AI engineering, MLOps, and backend systems, with professional exposure at Intel Corporation and Infineon Technologies.

At Intel, I worked as an AI Engineer where I built scalable backend platforms, engineered MLOps pipelines, and developed production-ready AI/ML solutions — from LLM applications to GenAI microservices.

At Infineon, I interned as a Business Intelligence Developer, where I built automated ETL pipelines and Tableau dashboards that improved data availability and streamlined operational reporting.

My long-term career goal is to continue advancing in AI/MLOps engineering, building reliable, scalable, and impactful AI systems that bridge research and real-world applications.

What I Do

  • AI/ML Engineering → Model development, computer vision, NLP, predictive analytics
  • MLOps & Systems → CI/CD pipelines, MLflow, Docker/Kubernetes, deployment automation, monitoring
  • Backend Engineering → FastAPI, Flask, SQL (Postgres/MySQL), scalable services
  • Data Insights → ETL, feature engineering, dashboards, data visualization

Skills at a Glance

  • Programming: Python (advanced), C++, SQL, PySpark
  • Frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, OpenCV
  • DevOps/MLOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure
  • Visualization: Tableau, Pandas, Matplotlib

Beyond Work

Outside of engineering, I enjoy activities that balance creativity and logic:

  • Building with Lego and Minecraft
  • Exploring Android customization and the open-source ecosystem
  • Gaming and experimenting with design as a way to recharge

Career Philosophy

I believe in building AI systems that matter — not just proofs-of-concept, but solutions that improve workflows, reduce complexity, and deliver measurable results.
My approach combines technical depth with a focus on practicality, always aiming to bring ideas into production where they can make a difference.
